Hi,

Our chicken had a bad case of sour crop a month ago but we managed to fix it with a good Epsom salt flush. The last week especially last night/today, she has gotten very very sick and her crop this morning was giant. We've tried Epsom salts all week, and last night we were pretty convinced she won't make it. She's been standing trying to breathe for the last like 24 hours at least because she has so much fluid so she can't sit down. This morning was really bad, so we did the vomit maneuver, as a last resort. She vomited alot of fluid (white, then yellow, then white mucus, then brown junk), but she's still really bloated and lethargic. We are about to give her some apple cider vinegar to help with the infection part, but we're at a loss for how to empty the crop since we've had her vomit twice and it was getting harder to vomit out fluid the second time, so we haven't tried in a few hours.

I'm sorry to hear about your hen, thats rough.
Have you tried yeast infection cream?
Apple Cider vinegar barely helps so it won't help in a serious infection.
have you wormed her recently?

I forgot to mention that we have been doing yeast infection cream this week. We didn't do the cream last night because she was really lethargic and had her head tucked in her wings and thought it might do more harm to force stuff down her throat.
We just gave her 1mL of a solution of 2tbsp apple cider vinegar to 1 gallon water.

No she has not been wormed.
Over Christmas she had what we believe was a yeast infection, then a month ago it came back, now it's back again.
