Very shaky Buff Orp Pullet

I've been scanning all the previous posts in this section but haven't come across anything like my situation, so if any of you know what might be up and can give me some ideas, I'd really appreciate it.

My Buff Orp pullet is about 5 months old. She has always been a little small compared to her sisters from the same hatch and still has a pale face and tiny comb. The problem is she is very shaky, almost like she's on vibrate. She jumps up onto a perch and immediately squats down to retain her balance, she sometimes spreads her wings out a little for added centering on the perch. She is always like this. I checked her ears and I don't see anything to indicate infection. Her eyes and nostrils are clear but she doesn't open her eyes fully like the other girls. Other then this, you would think she was perfectly normal. I'm wondering if its neurological maybe? What do you guys think? Any thoughts on what I should give her (if anything) to treat this?

Sounds to me like a nuerologic problem but could also be a defiency in her diet. Have you tried supplementing her with something like avia charge or giving her polyvisol drops even some ACV in her water? She may need a good boost. You could also try giving her a little extra in her diet along with the other. Give her slivers of meat, or boiled eggs, some good plain yogurt. See how she does on a better diet in a week or so.

If she's always been shakey I'd think nuerological too...If that part has just developed I too would look at her diet and if she's getting enough to eat..is she getting pushed away from the feeder since she's smaller?

Thank you. I'll keep my fingers crossed that its just a something lacking in her diet. I'll chop up some eggs and give her some yogurt. I don't have any of the drops on hand but will get some in town A.S.A.P.

you may want to try separating her to ensure she is getting the feed and extra supplementation she needs. Vit E is particularly important for neurological symptoms and you can pr ick open a human pill and add this through her feed daily. Ideally you will need a bit of selenium supplementation to help the vit e be absorbed and if you can do so it would be good to get her the combo vitE /selenium (but ensure the selenium does not go over 50 MICROgrams >>>agway and walmart have this)... If you do manage to find the combo give once a day 3x then once every other day for a week. After that you can just use the vit E without the selenium for the next couple weeks and repeat if necessary.

I'll get some Vitamin E/selenium going and up her protein. I'll get some avia charge or polyvisol drops. For now I'll give her some eggs, a little bit of cat food and tuna through out the next few weeks.
