I got a hen a couple months ago that wasn't properly molting. She is about 2 years old. I give her lots of fresh vegetables and henhouse reserve. Her feather still didn't grow in very well and she's become very thin. This morning I went to check on her and she's just lying still and breathing very heavily. Only opens her eyes occasionally. I've tried giving her some water with acv but she wasn't very receptive.

Could we see pictures of her?
Whats the percentage of protein in her feed?
What breed is she?
When did she last lay an egg?
From what you described she has no respiratory symptoms, so she could be egg bound, or a reproductive infection. That may not explain the weight loss, so could you feel her crop? Is it empty in the morning, or is it hard. Does she have a strong odour from her mouth?
@Eggcessive and @Wyorp Rock may be able to help.

She's a lavender orpington. She's never laid since I got her. Her feed has 17% protein. Her crop feels nothing like my other hens. just feels like a bone there and nothing else. It's felt empty for a bit now. I don't smell any odor.

Molting birds need about 20% protein at least. Does she eat? Could other birds be keeping her away from the feed? Try offering her a boiled egg yolk or some rinsed tuna to get some extra protein into her, but she can't eat if she's dehydrated. Put a drop of plain water on the crease of her beak and see if she will swallow that. Don't get any in her nostrils.

She hasn't pooped at all today. I pulled her out of the coop this morning and put her in a warm place under a red light. she did get up a couple minutes and drank plain water on her own then she laid back down. Her breathing has gotten heavier tho with a whistle to it. I tried feeding her egg yolk earlier and she didn't take it but I'll try again.

Make sure she's not too hot under that red light. In fact she probably doesn't need it at all in the house. If you're comfortable she doesn't need it.

I'd give her sugar water (1tsp sugar to 1cup water) or electrolytes, see if she perks up.
Once she's hydrated, then offer wet feed to see if she will eat.

I don't see molting, I see worn feathers. Is she in molt?

With her not laying eggs in the last couple of months you've had her, I would lean towards something reproductive going on.

Feel her abdomen below the vent between her legs, is there any bloat or feeling of fluid?

So I got her and another with her of the same breed and age that's doing well. She had very little feathers when I got her and had no feathers on her underside. They've filled in since then and shes no longer molting but they do look worn and not like my other orpingtons whose are smooth. She doesn't have any bloating or feeling of fluid. She did finally poop for the first time today and it looks like it has a blood clot in it.
