Hi!! One year chicken Momma... one of my four Orpingtons has laid 2 very small eggs. One last week and another today. She seems normal in every other ways. Is this something to be concerned about? She is the smallest of the four hens...always has been somewhat little compared to her big sisters. They all get along and free range all day and locked in a coop at nite. Yesterday all four eggs looked about the same???

Laying a fairy egg is unusual, but not necessarily symptom of something more serious. Tends to happen in new layers, and decreases in frequency with time. Some sources claim its as much as 10x more frequent in the first year of lay.

While not associated, to my knowledge, with other common health issues, I'm going to assume you've checked her for other obvious conditions (vent gleet, abnormal feces, heavy mite infestations, signs of cocci or fowl pox, etc) and seen nothing concerning?
