This isn't chicken related, but there is a very smart mouse in my mom's room! It jumps over all the sticky traps and last night it bit my mom's arm while she was sleeping in her bed! She's gonna be sleeping in a guest room now but I'm afraid it's gonna come into my room too! I'm not afraid of mice but if that mouse bites me while I'm sleeping I'm bound to have a heart attack.
We have bought several other different traps but this mouse has evaded them all. Please if anyone can help!!
No we will not get a cat either.

stand on a chair with a broom in your hand all night while keeping a look-out for it...lol JK,..probably not, right?
what are u using as bait in the sticky traps??

Place a 5 gallon bucket about 1/2 full of water in the middle of the floor, suspend a piece of smelly bait in the center just below the rim and build a ramp up to the edge of the bucket and extend it over the water a bit. You can get a lot fancier if you have time.
I used to do this as a kid with great success... google "bucket mouse trap" for some design ideas... it's cheap and it really works.

I would set plenty of glue traps where there was no way to jump. For me it was inside and outside an entrance hole. I love the old and new snap traps. The tom cat blocks did not work for me even slathered in peanutbutter. The water bucket might be a good idea. A biter mouse would be one I killed quickly.

I was using peanut butter. It did attract a lot of bugs that were in the house and younger mice but this one big mouse seems to know it's way around. I hope it's big because it's old and not pregnant!

Try a humane trap. it's like a little cage so it can go in but can't come back out.

A rat zapper baited with peanut butter has never failed when I've needed to trap (and kill) mice.

I like that idea.. I don't want to do humane because 1. What am I supposed to do with it afterwards? I'm not releasing it so it can become someone elses problem - 2. My mom hates mice with a burning passion... The first time I found a nest of pinkies outside I wanted to raise them myself but my mom and dad told me no and my mom made me feed them to chickens.. It really hurt the first time I did that but now when I find pinky nests I consider it a jackpot of treats for the birds. She would not want any alive, if we used a humane trap she would probably make me feed it to the chickens. I'm also trying an oil trap. It's like a big of any type of cooking oil, the mice go in but can't get back out. I'm gonna test it outside first to see if I get any biters.
