Very thin Sicilian buttercup hen

I have a small flock of seven hens and a few weeks ago I noticed my Sicilian Buttercup was becoming very light. If you were to look at her she would appear fine, her feathers are all grown in, she is very bright in color, the only thing off with her appearance is her comb which is smaller because of winter. But if you pick her up shes tiny! I haven't weigh her but you can feel her keel bone and its very thin, also she has almost no meat of fat around her bones. From what I have observed she is eating and drinking fine. Could it be worms? I'm not sure if I should separate her from the flock but right now I`m feeding her extra scraps and keeping a close eye on her.
Dose anyone know whats wrong with her and what I should do?

It could be worms. A good safe cure for that is Diatomaceous Earth. It's perfectly harmless to her but it'll deal with any worms she might have. It's pretty easy to find, most feed stores have it or can get it. Just mix a little into her food. A 25 percent food, 75 percent Earth mixture is usually pretty effective. Be careful not to inhale too much, it can be rough on your lungs, but that takes quite a bit. Keep this up for about a week.

Personally I would not use DE, since it does not do anything when wet inside the digestive tract, and secondly can cause lung and other problems when inhaled. I would worm her with a proper wormer such as Valbazen or SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer 1/2 ml orally and repeated in 1 week. Then I would give her some increased protein such as some chopped egg, tuna, or high protein gamebird feed. Lastly I would treat her with a vitamin and probiotic 3 times a week to increase her immunity. An underlying coccidial infection could also be a cause of lack of weight gain. Corid for 5 days in the water can treat that.
