Hi!

A few minutes ago I was cleaning up my ducks' cage where they stay the night when suddenly the youngest one (around 45 days old) started shaking/vibrating from its neck up and then nipping at me. The shake isn't harsh and neither is the nipping, but it was very sudden and it had never done it before that I remember.

I tried to check if anything was wrong but every time I get too close it does the same. Overall it is a very calm duck, eats well, and has healthy habits.

Does anyone know what that could mean?
Thanks in advance!

Mine do it when they get overly excited. Like it builds up & builds up and they gotta do something or they'll explode (metaphorically of course). My male SA runs his neck up my arm/hand, whatever is closest. My female Muscovy does it when I play tug with her with a hand towel, she loves grabbing at it and if I'm not offering the play time, she will hope onto the lounge chair I have the towel sitting on and start playing with it by herself.
