I found a guinea egg in my yard. I brought it in the house and set it on the kitchen counter. I spent days trying to find the nest so that I could add the egg to it. I never found the nest and my two girls have not starting sitting.
About three weeks after setting the egg on my counter I was putting duck eggs into my incubator and decided to put the guinea egg in also.
Low and behold that darn little keet hatched today three days early! I can't believe that egg was any good. Thank goodness I heard peeping coming from the incubator it was still in the turning trays! I was going to go into lockdown tomorrow morning.
I got lucky and caught the whole thing on video. Sorry for my 11 year old daughters narration and giggles, she was so excited. She named this one Pteradactyl. Or Terry for short. LOL!
