Here is another (please blank out the pretend geese noises) with his 2 pretend ladies who are probably male ganders. This is done today so is from February. I do think he needs a lady...

And that lady isn't me!!

He is doing this funny head thing which I have never seen a goose do, in the first video. He only does it to me, has anyone come accross that before?

Second video not been approved by Youtube yet, will be in a couple of hours.

Great video!!!!
my Guardian does that head thing...like he's trying to catch something in the air
but there was never anything there, haha~

our geese began nipping quite hard a few months ago
at first, it was all very gentle, then gradually..as if they got a bit over-excited
and ended up biting quite hard

I was once told that, they run their bill on you...through your clothes
that's because they want to preen you, they are starting to accept you
but they do get carried away
so I was taught to make an exaggerated OUCH...preferrably a bit high pitch
as soon as the nip gets painful, then gently but firmly push him away a bit
let the goose knows he/she's hurt you and you didn't like that
my Sugar had that problem of biting me to hard
I tried that method, and after about a week or so later
she would stop and let go immediately when I say OUCH
after another week, she never nipped me hard again
now...always very gentle
Sugar is the smart one indeed~

I'll come back later for the other video :)
Mais is very handsome ^_^ I love the colour of his wings!! so pretty~

Mine do that to me too. I wondered what it meant. I also have one that will wrap its neck around my neck.

The head thing/ biting air, I've never seen before.

But biting your pants, sleeve & hand - I have. My goose does that to me, I think its her way of saying she wants to mate with me

How very funny! I am glad Mais is not the only one to do his funny head thing. It is so comical to watch!!!
I will try the "Ouch!" technique next time he bites a bit too hard, thanks for saying that, Stephie! And it is funny to see how Sugar is so intelligent. Have you had any eggs from them yet?
