She was a nice girl them. My banty Belle tried to peck me the whole time she was on the nest. Now her babies are 7 weeks old and she lets me get food and water for them with out trying to get me.

So did you get chickies?

yes i got two chickies & they're old enough now that she's weaning them herself. I saw her chasing them off the other day, momma knows best!

I need to go handle the babies, since momma raised them, they're afraid of me! ( but momma is very friendly & not afraid of me, i guess the chicks dont pick up on that part)

Nope mine run from me like I am the worst thing ever and out to get them. What age are your chicks. I have seen no signs of her trying to wean them yet. She still calls them everytime she finds something good to eat or wants them to hide from danger.

That is the cutest video. Wouldn't that growl make a funny ring tone! I had a broody duck that would hiss at me. She would talk so sweetly to her eggs and then when I would look in she would hiss at me! A very good momma. But she won't let me touch the babies and I want to sooo badly!
