My coop is almost complete save the caulking and adding the vinyl flooring. My question is with this floor:

As you can see we used planks for the floor but i'm wondering how I would go about making a draft proof floor. Would I put some kind of vapor barrier. Before applying the vinyl flooring to the planks?

If you can fit it i would put in a thin sheet of exterior grade OSB, screw it down, then stick the vinyl to that. I don't think you would want drafts coming through your floorboards in an Ontario winter like the poster above suggested. Of course it would have been easier to do before it was finished. It looks like you are already venting through a hole in the roof at the top right of the picture anyways.

What does OSB stand for?

also there is a skylight where the light is coming into the coop. But next to the skylight is a roof vent.

This picture you actually see the roof :)

Oriented Strand Board, but a better option would be 1/8th inch Luaun underlayment... cheaper and designed for that exact purpose.

That's the one. My local store here sells a 7/16" 2x4 OSB board for $5.37. They carry a 5.0mm 2x4 Lauan board for $6.92. OSB gets the win on that one. I also don't know if they will carry the Lauan up in Ontario or if they even have a Home Depot up there. Like KDK1 said though, the Lauan is designed as an underlayment and is moisture RESISTANT. So is exterior grade OSB. Plus it costs you less than $10 if you need to replace it in 12 years. I'm not sure how brittle the Lauan is if you drop something on it or put your weight on it, I do know that the OSB won't crack.

I will check out what my options are at Home depot...I can also try lowes they might carry something that home depot may not have. Thanks for your input :)

I don't think they do carry it...I will have to go in and ask them if they have Luaun underlayment. It might go by a different name here?
