If your going to use vinyl in your coop, I would use 1 piece, not squares. Stuff is gonna get stuck in the cracks between the squares.

I agree! We used a piece of scrap vinyl flooring - and use sand over it. Works great! Go to a flooring store - they usually have remnants - you should be able to get a good price!
