If you message photobucket, they generally will upload the photos for you.

They took down several photos of one of my bird's prolapse. I'll admit, it looked bad, but it was an education thing. When I messaged them, they put them back up with their apologies.

I set all my settings to private after having 20+photos deleted last year. When I post a direct link people can go see what it is i posted but not see the rest of my albums.

I forgot about Webshots I haven't been on there in years!! I got no apology, nothing,, just someone reported them so they removed them.

This is why I have MY OWN PERSONAL SITE. You can cry and wine all you want about something I posted and I just don't care. I post pictures that I take because they interest me, if people don't like it they can go to another page. Now I don't steal anyones pictures and I don't post questionable pictures, so I don't care what people think.
Now if you go to my BLOG PAGE WHILE I HAVE BEEN DRINKING, I will seriously consider it if you find something offensive.

I quit using photobucket.

I switched to google picasa, it's not quite as easy to get the picture URL's but the free photo editor software is a lot better and the hosting page has less ads jumping out at you!!!!!!

Holy smokes. I'm going to have to back up all my photos now just to be sure I don't lose them.

As far as I'm concerned that's destruction of private property... just as if you burned the only copies.

I'd be livid.

Do they actually verify that a picture is actually offensive, or do they just assume it is and without looking delete it?

That'd be a super easy way for someone with a grudge to really hurt someone.
