I have both violetas and midnights and I agree they are definitely very distinct from each other. Violetas have a dark berry wine purple look to them that is unequaled in peafowl today. Having also kept purples in the past I would definitely say the violetas blow the purple out of the water. When it comes to vibrancy and intensity of the coloration the violetas are real jawdroppers. Hopefully we can work to keep this color from suffering the same way the cameo, peach, and purple mutations have due to reckless or thoughtless breeding practices.
