Manaze88 - there is a chicken swap this Saturday at the TSC in Fredericksburg VA. Might be able to find what you want there.

Thanks. I was about to come try and find what chicken swaps might be happening. I'll be in the opposite northern direction Saturday, so won't make this one. I 'think' I remember seeing somewhere around here a place to find the different swaps. I think I'm a little too rural for one in Leesburg, but I'm not opposed to a little driving. This Saturday just didn't pan out, though.

Thanks bobbieschicks. I bought a spray can of nustock and applied. It was great to work with the spray.

The NuStock I used was in a tube, probably the same stuff, just different format. It stinks bad, but does the job. I had a silky that was cut on both of her sides by the large Maran roo and his amorous nature. One of the wounds wasn't too bad but the other was a big gaping wound. I first Blu Kote the wounds but that didn't seem to be helping them heal. So then I tried the Nustock and within a week the large gashes closed up and started to heal. You couldn't tell the scars were there by the end of two weeks and the feathers had started to come back in.

Hey there! I'm south of Petersburg.

ok, how many babies do you think a buff orp (LF) can handle? i split up 26 babies between2 hens, and everything was going well until 1 of the girls decided she'd had enough and just up and left. now buff orp has all the babies and can't cover them all. wondering how many i should take away so she doesn't spaz too.
