Weeelllll actually.... (Digs toe in sand). I bought my 10 chickens before the coop was even started (blushes). The coop is almost done and the run is next.

That's the best route to go! I tell my father that all the time. He wants to have things prepared before the birds arrive but never gets it built. my wife and I find what we want and build after lol.

i breezed thru the cumberland chixn swap....who else was there....
DH (CelticRooster) absolutely fell in love w/ the wheaton roo that was there....now he cant wait for ours to grow up
except i am for sure i have 1 dutch bantam roo and i think 1 white leghorn standard...but he wont be as pretty as that wheaton fella...lol

Hey redturtle...
It was a fun and probably quickest swap I have ever been a part of. Many sold out within 1 to 2 hours being there. We stayed longer than planned mainly because by 10:30 most people had sold and left and we wanted to be fair to those planning to come late. All the sellers were happy and we hope to get more at the next one when we have it in the end of june/early july.

Hey Redturtle,
I was a bit concerned around 10:30 as there were a fair share of birds there and they sold QUICK. Of course with the sun out in full swing at the point and where we were set up people left when they were done selling and I do not blame them. If you ever have anything to sell please feel free to bring it. It's sounding like the next one will be June 26th but that is not set in stone yet.
