Is there such thing as a co-op that small egg producers get together to market their eggs?
I spoke to a woman incharge of buying eggs from small farms for resale. She told me 1.25 a dozen for farm fresh natural quality eggs. I had already tried ro explain
To her I wanted to sell fresh Chocolate English Orpington Bantam Eggs by the half dozen so others could hatch them themselves. She just did not get it. I kept telling her these eggs would not be for eating but for hatching. They would not have been refrigerated nor kept warm. I told her I had a dozen Chocolate girls laying with several roos, the eggs should be fertilized and there should be no problem hatching them. She asked was all I could bring her each day would only be a dozen eggs? She would give me 1.25 a dozen. No matter how hard I tried or worded it she just did not get it and she was the person incharge. She told me it would be up to the buyer if they wanted to bother with hatching the eggs or eat them. I gave up.

I have given away eggs to my neighbors so they can eat them as it was not worth my time to go down to the Farmers Market that was privately owned wanting to give me a buck quarter per dozen. For Chocolate English Orps and Ohikis. I nolonger do that as I have given neighbors layers and I feed back cooked eggs into chix feed mix.

I normally sell my eggs $2 per dozen but if I could be guaranteed she would buy all the time I would do that. I am producing dozen and half per day and we are adding more hens this spring.

You must be closer to a large city to get that amount. Not in Woodlawn/Hillsville area.
After speaking to the woman at the Farmers Market, I decided my eggs were worth more than she offered and dropped it.

My little black phoenix bantam is laying a nice little egg almost every day. They average 40 grams. I love it. She is so sweet.
400
this little Phoenix Bantam roo would love to meet your girl.

He is very handsome! Think of their offspring.

I am thinking. My little black girl phoenix Bantam (his mommy) has a silver necklace. She is not all black. Is yours? Do you have a Roo? This is the son. The Daddy looks just like him with his mommy. I am keeping his mommy and daddy. He is available free to a good home.

Hahaha! Smooth move ap&av! I love it:)

Hey, I try. This little guy gets picked on and his mommy and Daddy nolonger defend him. I had kept him back because his face and beak were such a dark red, beak black. His mommy has a black face but his daddy does not.
When she said she has a Black Phoenix Bantam little girl, I thought of his mommy. A very small black Phoenix Bantam, more Ohiki size than Phoenix Bantam size. He himself is full grown this March will be aged One year.

Phoenix Bantams are from a Phoenix daddy and an Ohiki mommy usually. Seldom in reverse. Mate a Phoenix Bantam to a Phoenix Bantam and they mate true.
Some are a little larger but never the size of a true Phoenix.
Some are a little smaller but never the size of a true Ohiki.
This little guy gets picked on by all the roos roaming. Around 24 now. He is third to the smallest. The smallest is a little Crele Ohiki and a tiny red Ohiki and they seldom come out of their hutch and pen inside the chainlink kennel.
He is a sweetie and is hen pecked, so I usually now adays just dont let him out of his hutch and pen inside HIS chainlink fencing. He has a a couple of girls in with him so he is a happier camper not being in eith all the others but they are cochin girls and their eggs will be of no value unless someone wants the eggs for free. I will not hatch those eggs bc they are half breeds. I have let then hatch them and gave the chicks away. They all looked like Ohiki with puffy butts and feathers down their legs. Something no Ohiki should have is feather down their legs. SO I will NOTbe hatching their eggs.
