the only oddity, that is why it took practically FOREVER to figure out he was really a HE... he's never crowed.

hubby calls him the stealth roo, because he gets all the girls without the other guys realizing it. no crowing to brag, he's just there and gone LOL

I gave an EE roo to a friend and he says that the smaller EE rooster sneaks in and has mated with the girls before his bigger roos even know something is going on.

I have a 8mo old Black Frizzled Cochin bantam hen who is in need of a new home. She is being bullied and picked on by two of our other hens. I really don't want to part with her, but would rather have her living in a coop where she is safe. Free to a good home.

I am located in Prince William / Fauquier Co. in Nokesville.

Oh, I'd love to have her!!! She could live with my Silkies :) I don't come that way often though :( How far are you from Roanoke? My mom lives there and she'll be coming to my house tomorrow... PM me if you'd like! Nikki

i finally got my 2 pairs of bantam cochins this week! (still waiting on mcmurray chicks)

the reds are ok, roo's a peckerhead and pullet's more buff than red, but i've got a red pullet growing out too, who will join them later this spring.

but here's the pair that i absolutely LOVE!

i was told he's NOT a mottled, but sure looks it to me... but he'll be joining my mottled girl anyways. going to do a test breeding to determine for sure.
but either way, they're great. the hen is especially friendly, the roo is getting there. (with hubby's help LOL).
