Virginia

I have Blue and Blue/Splash Marans I am in Bowling Green VA.

Do you have any for sale? Ive been looking for Welsummer's and Marans local to add to my flock. I have a small backyard flock in PWC and want to add some dark egg layers to my coop.

Anyone have any BBS English Orpington or any of the rare colored Orp eggs for sale locally?
I'm thinking i remember MaggiesDad has english orps, but i don't remember what color(s)...

and RealRedHead, I'm glad nobody was hurt with that hawk... fortunately, the hawks around here are wary of my dog. he's caught tail feathers before and thwarted their dinners... UNfortunately they seem to have become sneakier, and have managed to snag a few babies during the day, always days when i have to head into town for something.

No, not me. Just Basque Hens and some dependable Black Australorp mamas...

Well....stilll no power (which is reallly getting old.)
but I have 16 chiicks hatched! still have hope for the others, although it is really hard keeping the humidity up with no easy access to hot water. I had to pry one poor baby,s shell off that was stuck to him.

alll dorkings. 15 eggs left to go..

Hang in there!

i know that Donna, DMRippy has nice black copper marans, and i've had great results with her eggs. she's in TN and does ship.  send her a PM.  and I think Beth, BHep in NC has welsummers. again i had good hatches from her too. both of those i mentioned have a wide assortment of breeds, so it might be worth a PM to them and see what you can get.

also, i know of a breeder local to roanoke that raises welsummers, and usually has birds at the roanoke and christiansburg swaps each month. Don't know his last name or anything else tho. sorry. but i might see him next saturday in c'burg, if the weather cooperates (and it's supposed to!)  but i don't think he ships eggs. but hatches all he can...
I sell fertile Welsummer Eggs for $2 each. I'm in Fredericksburg and can ship if needed :)
