Great googa mooga! Everywhere we have tried to buy a place in Greensville/Brunswick/Dinwiddie Counties in the last 3 weeks we have run across the absurd notion of the place being zoned AGAINST chickens! I'm telling ya, 5 1/2 acres next to nothing except the big surface mine out there and while you can have and breed horses you can't have chickens. WTH?

I am beginning to hate house hunting. We are going back to one that we feel is over priced and making an offer since it is zoned ag use and crossing fingers that they'll at least consider our offer.

I want to bring my girls dang it! All three of them... and if Nine can't be broken from this broody streak of hers we'll have a few more.

So for now we are looking down near skippers.........

anyone near me (King William) have any guinea eggs for sale? I want to eat some, I have a craving for them. I might have to break down and just raise myself some this summer..... if so.. pm me. Thanks in advance.

Just yesterday my husband was asking about guinea eggs.

Do you eat them just like chicken eggs?

Do they taste the same?

I know Shawsville. I used to go Rte 11 instead of I-81 going to Blacksburg on occasion. That's beautiful country. I'm on the other side of Roanoke toward SML.

Well hello neighbor!

I don't know a whole lot about Roanoke but I have been to the lake before, but not for a LONGGGGG time. My parents use to have a place down on the lake, can't remember the name of the place though, everyone had trailors and campers and I think there was a house up on the hill, I think they turned it into housing development. It may have been called Strawberry Banks??? Not sure but that name comes to mind.

Yep, Strawberry Banks. I think it went the way of the development. We're closer to the Bedford part of the lake. The lake's really grown in the past few years. There are lots of businesses along 122 and the lake is full of boaters and skiers, especially on weekends. There's a lot of development now. People have built huge places. I like the smaller cabins though. The older, smaller houses are just more cozy.
