Does anyone know when the fall swap will be at Gilmanor?
I've been a 'chicken mom' for all of 3 days now and I'm already planning my next batch of brooders.... LOL!

lol well, if you don't want to wait till fall, i've got guineas and barred rocks hatching later this week, some assorted cochin-ish bantams (cochin hens, free ranged roosters include oegb cochin and dorking), pure cochin and pure silver grey dorking over the next 2 weeks. plus i'll be setting some fbcm, welsummers, cuckoo marans, olive eggers, and bbs ameraucana over the next few days. oh and more dorking and cochins...

So does anyone here raise meal worms? If so would you like to sell some? My chickens love them and I am out of them lol.
most pet stores that carry reptiles also carry mealworms. and they are easy to raise. you can also order them by mail from www.lllreptile.com and their prices are reasonable. they carry all kinds of goodies the chickies like. 8)

ki4got you REALLY ARE a hatch-a-holic!!!!!!!

I was, actually, looking for cuckoo marans and welsummers at the swap.........
BUT - I think I'd better get these girls settled and into the coop - ya know.. the coop that I don't HAVE YET.. - before I get any more.

well you're in luck. the black copper marans went into the incubator tonight, the cuckoo and wellies will go in tomorrow once they get here. 8) so you've got at LEAST 3 weeks to work on your coop, but probably longer since i'll want to grow them out a bit and see who the girls are.
