Visceral Gout ??

It is easier for me to see the front and tops of the feet and ankles when they are standing to try and tell if it is gout or MS. The 2 pics in the thread in post 8 are very different—one showing swollen ankles (MS) and the other showing swollen lumpy-looking toes and feet/ankles (gout.) If the toes look normal, but the ankles are swollen, then I would look at MS or another infectious arthritis as a possibility. MS is very hard to treat with antibiotics, and is a chronic disease.

Yes, that looks better. To my amateur eye, it looks a bit more like MS than gout. But in the early pictures the toes do look fat and a bit lumpy. So it may be gout.

I think they look better today so I’ll keep treating for gout. You’re information and help is a godsend! Best ...
