Vitamin B Complex (Liquid form)

I've been doing a lot of research on the forum re Vitamin B Complex. Can I use the liquid in lieu of the powdered form and administer the liquid directly to the affected bird? If so, should I follow the human dosage (which is 25 drops per day recommended)? Or is the powdered form safer? Thanks!

B complex is inactivated by light- typically when I've seen it sold its in an amber vial. So, if the powder is designed to be given in water or feed, it probably doesn't do much unless its protected from light. If I thought my chicks needed it supplemented, I would give it directly to know that they receive the administered dose. Is there a reason you're supplementing it?

B complex is water soluble and very safe to give, but I don't have an actual chicken dose. Probably doesn't need quite as much as an adult person; B complex is not stored in the body, so if overdosed the chicken should just excrete the excess.

Thanks. Have a not quite 2 y.o. Brown Leghorn hen that I successfully treated for a fungal infection (she was eating, drinking, walking fine until last night when I tried to reintegrate back into the flock (I know, not my brightest moment). While I was shooing some of the other hens away that were set to pick on her, the rooster snuck up behind and jumped her. She got a bit stressed after that and is now having difficulty walking. I immediately put her back into isolation; checked her over for any injuries (didn't see any) and her appetite is still good.

When I was reviving a sick bird that possibly had wry neck, I crushed a 400 mg B Complex pill and dipped various fruit in the powder and fed it to her. Sometimes it took some coaxing, and the fruit had to be fresh and tasty, but I managed it for about 6 weeks, so it's doable. And I'm sure she wasn't getting the entire 400 mg, but it was enough for her.

Watermelon and Blueberries were a big hit with Shrimp.
