Vitamins for chicks

we are in the middle of hatching chicks and I am wondering if we can mix germe-zone with selenium and I have some stressaid. Can I mix all that in with the chicks water? They are also on medicated chick feed. Thanks

I looked it up, i'm in the U.S so I wasn't familiar.
I wouldn't mix it. If you want to give vitamins poly-vi-sol without iron is a better choice.
Germe-zone is more for when they're having belly troubles.

I have had a few of our silkies end up with wry neck and I’m not sure why..? So I am just trying to make sure the chicks are protected.

Are you making sure that your chick feed is fresh, by mill date on each bag? Some vitamins, including those related to this problem, will be gradually lost as feed ages.

Medicated feed is counter productive with birds prone to wry neck like silkies.
You should use unmedicated with them.

From a breeder's point of view, it's best to select breeding stock who hasn't had any such issues. Individuals who need more than 'normal' amounts of certain nutrients, or extra care to manage joint deformities, or whatever, need to have nice lives, but not contribute to the gene pool.
