I volunteer for Tanaka farms, a small farm here in Orange County, California, that has official relationships with cities and schools to host events and internships for children to find out and participate in what farming is.

Specifically, I help take care of the animals and occasionally do construction or repairs for the facility.

My background is that I’m retired from a career in Software Development and electronics engineering.

My other current interests are my two grandchildren who fortunately live close by, and emerging technologies such as ChatGPT-4 (particularly as an aid to both students and teachers in education), 3D printing and the CAD that goes with it, and applying those to create cool, useful things.

Finally, I like to blow off steam by playing handball against the garage door with the seven-year-old boy just down the street or seducing a dog that is fearful and barking at me into becoming my friend (sometimes I succeed).

Thanks! I’ve already found useful content here for building a rabbit poop sifter. I just finished it; if it works tomorrow I’ll post an article. This site has some very talented people who generously share their expertise.
