One of my ducklings has mucus coming out of his nostrils and is vomiting clear mucus all of a sudden , has anyone ever seen this ?!? Please help!!

Yes, I can't keep them away from the water, I went and bought a self filling water dish that keeps a lower water level because I was constantly re filling the original dish they just kept trying to swim

How often is he vomiting?
Is he eating? (I ask because if it's clear, that would seem to me he isn't eating.)
Could he have gotten into anything toxic/poisonous/nasty?

In the meantime, make sure to keep him hydrated and nourished (poultry vitamins and electrolytes will help). I would strongly consider quarantining him so the others don't eat his vomit which may be carrying something infectious.

He's eating just fine and drinking he's running around and acting completely normal, it only happened once, but there was a lot of clear mucus . There still in there brooder and eating starter food, rotating with electrolyte water and plain ( id offer both but all they want to do is play in it)

Not sure what the level is, but ducks have to have the water deep enough to submerge their entire head in order to clean themselves properly. They are messy. This is very important, so I would change their water bucket if it is not deep enough or add the other which was removed back.

In regards to the vomiting, sometimes ducks puke if the just ate and the are held upside down or are handled too much. If it is not acting sick then I would keep up the electrolytes and watch closely.

Hopefully all is well.

I give them bath time twice a day, I only changed their drinking water, I was constantly having to change the brooder, they kept soaking it lol. Thank you

My newest duckling did the same thing... I didn't know what to do I was freaking out! I massaged his neck in case something was stuck in it and that did nothing but make him vomit more... It's more like a clear mucus... I had also just got me a waterer like yours so thinking it wouldn't be as messy! After searching and searching for an answer on this site I put their bowl back in instead of the waterer he cleared his nostrils and was fine! :)

soso don't know if you've seen this but there is a good pic of a homemade waterer on this thread that will help keep mess down a little and let them be able to wash their heads. Just cut the hold large enough for them to comfortably get their heads inside and cut large as they grow. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/750869/raising-and-caring-for-ducklings#post_10611711

Ducklings/ducks are just messy they love to play in water but it's very important for them to have it and as much as they want. It's up to us to try to keep the mess to minimum. Something that gets much easier once they can be outside.
