I am looking to purchase vorwerk eggs, chicks, or adults. Please let me know if you or you know somebody who would be able to help.

Thanks

Lakenvelders are a completely different breed than Vorwerks. See http://feathersite.com/Poultry/CGP/Vorwerks/BRKVorwerks.html for information about the breed and see Lakenvelders here http://feathersite.com/Poultry/CGK/Lakens/BRKLakenvelder.html. People calling Vorwerks Lakenvelders has basically destroyed the breed and there is not one public breeder I have been able to find in years.

I the USA they come in bantam only but in other places they are in LF too. See a article here about them being created: http://www.the-coop.org/library/vorwerk.html

E-Bay has Silver & Golden Lakenvelder eggs for bid. I used to have a flock of Silvers. The name Lakenvelder, in Dutch, means "Shadow on a sheet". The reason I sold my flock is because they were afraid of their own shadow, whether on a sheet or not. Them birds were CRAZY!
