a rescue silkie? awww. how did u get it? i want to rescue some chickens but i dont know the first place to look around here.

lol yea i noticed that right away. how odd! i thought i was the only one in the world who knew the name peeboo lol! what a trip. i named my first and best childhood pet peeboo. well it was much longer but u wouldn't believe me if i typed it lol. people dont belive it when i say it over and over to them lol. anywho. that's so cool that u got to rescue a silkie.

hehe well i actually bought my silkies due to the DEPLORABLE conditions they were in as little peepers. i actually decided against them at first until i saw what sad shape they were in. had to take at least 2. lol my mr. didn't like that idea much at first. but now he gets to call them names and make fun of them because of their odd characteristics and behavior. he loves them now though. still calls them names even so.

So, in a way, yours are rescues too! I never would of thought I would want a silkie either, but when I got this one, she is so friendly and cuddly and just sweet as can be. She stays in the barn rather than go in the chicken pen and runs around the yard during the day. That is when she is not broody. I'm thinking she is young, I do get eggs from her sometimes, so tiny and cute!

awwww. i luffs my silkies now. they're just so nerdy thati can't help loving them. i wish i had one silkie roo. i thought my buff was going to be a roo but to no avail. i wanted MORE. lol but i think it's best to keep what i have and not get carried away. lol anyway u'r from cali? i was born there. but in so cal. sandiego and the likes. but i was raised elsewhere. maybe we're related lol...brb have to get somthing to drink

So what was your favorite childhood pet? I've been in CA all my life, mostly in this area. A little up north and a little in the hot valley

lol peeboo was my super awesome parakeet. he flew away.

i mourned for about a month and still have dreams to this day about him...he flew away at least 10 years ago.
