i've tried searching for shows but not having a specific location makes it a challenge...

can anyone give me a heads up what shows would be within a reasonable distance (less than 4 hours) of Roanoke?

The easiest option is to subscribe to the Poultry Press. It is a monthly paper. It has all the shows listed in it.
 
I had a great time....the best show i ever went to!!! I brought my 4 BLRW and 1 Black Aust pullet. My BLRW placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th LOL and my BA pullet won 1st in BA pullets and got 1st in Novice Showmanship with me!!!! I had a great time. So how did everyone else's birds do??? Congrats to the winners!!
