Vultures?

I never had a problem with them, but they are a good indicator that something may be hunting in your area, i always go see what they are after if it is on my place almost always it is a varmint my dogs have killed so i move it way to the back of my place so it does not draw unwanted predators near my birds and the buzzards can clean up the mess.

I always thought vultures ate carrion...so, if there is a dead critter some where near your yard best to find out what killed the critter...that would be more of a concern.

Our cat is on a constant hunt...chipmunks, mice, frogs...often left dead in the yard...often attracts the attention of the turkey vultures we have here.

Ugly birds...kind of ominous looking to me.

I have noticed birds nesting in meadows take issue with turkey vultures flying low over their nesting areas. Red-winged blackbirds and common grackles harass such vultures with regularity. The smaller birds would not invest such effort unless the vultures have at least some predatory tendencies.
