Wadda Ya Know? Eggs may be good for you.

Hahaha, silly people. They probably get so much metabolic VitD their skin breaks it down regularly. Not like they live in Seattle... where it's not enough sun light to make enough metabolic vitD half the year. Wonder how many of those on vitD are going to get kidney stones.

All in moderation...

Love how people say it's natural, it must be good for you.

I'd like to offer up some organic fox glove in a salad and ask if it's good for you.

Haha exactly! Here, have some wormwood and blue mushrooms, too!

I also loved the fad of eating fat free and then eating CLA tablets to have soft hair and strong nails. I had to ask people, "Are you aware CLA is 100% fat?" Yep... people were removing the fat from their diets, losing their hair and nails from it, and then replacing it with a supplement while still eating fat-free (sugar laden) foods. s-m-r-t.

Some more interesting things coming out of this via the same news in this morning's USA Today. The dietitians now admit that there is no evidence that eating one egg will raise one's dietary cholesterol. Of course these people have never heard of mathematical induction which says that if it works for one, then assume it works for "n" and prove it works for "n + 1" . I suspect that any number of eggs will not raise ones body cholesterol but then how would the drug companies sell cholesterol lowering drugs. Also they are now saying that egg whites, while they have no cholesterol, also have no nutrition either--most of the food value is in the yoke. (Chickens already knew that.) Might as well eat your Dunkin' Donut egg white sandwich wrapped in a piece of cardboard--at least you'll be getting some fiber. All of this stuff has been known by some people for a while but, due to bad science, has given eggs a bad name. BTW, don't put down butter or lard either, they may be better for you than that plastic, artificial stuff. The is no real evidence that dietary fat causes body fat, body fat is store carbohydrates. It aint the butter you cook you eggs in that is going to make you fat, it's the slices of toast you're sopping up the busted yolk with.
