Waddling Chicken

Hi sorry if this is a duplicate! Ive tried to find something relevant but couldn't seem to find anything.

I have a 2 year old Isa Brown, she has stopped laying (along with the other 4) after we lost the head chicken and its winter. Im not sure if they will start laying again or not as they were still laying regularly and when the older girl passed away they all stopped within a day or two of each other.

So basically they havent laid anything for a month or so, and now this girl has the waddles and has a fair bit of pressure between her legs (just from feeling and comparing to the other girls).

Im not sure what it is or what to do about it as all the other problems seem egg related.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Internal laying and ovarian cancer are unfortunately fairly common among birds that have been bred to lay lots of eggs. This could be what is happening here, although of course no one can be sure. Hopefully the others will start again after a winter vacation.

She looks fine at the moment, thats what confuses me, she is a bit pale but has been since all the other birds turned on her one day and she had worms. We dosed her up and she is only just getting over that (she was very thin). Shes put her weight back on is still eating and looks relatively normal. Today shes not waddling as much and seems to have lost a bit of pressure between her legs. I picked her up and she wasnt squirming or in pain at all, normally they let you know, and her tail is up. So im not quite sure what it is..

Im hoping for the best, if it gets worse ill take her to the local avian vet

thanks though, im not sure if other people have had similar situations.

Her poo seemed a little bit watery and not as large as a normal poo (but i only saw her poo once recently).

You mentioned you wormed her recently. What did you use?
