I ordered 50 eggs about 2 - 3 months ago

45 were fertile
42 hatched

Good packing

Right now I have 100 eggs in the bator from CM Hatchery
very huge eggs not sure if they will hatch

It does thats why im really trying to figure all this out cause i was hoping to order chicks from CM or Mcmurry but im not sure they would make it all this way. Thats why i was thinking maybe eggs...

Some say they will make it... some say they wont...

So im trying to do some research before i get in too deep.

I dont want to buy a box of dead chicks or cracked eggs.

Nice! Yeah I called CM and they didn't seem to think it would be an issue... im not sure if they are just trying to make a sale.... or if it would really be safe for the birds...

Have yoy tried to find local breeders?

Try Craiglist.com in your area

may save you some headaches

yeah there are people selling ones and twos and Roos on craigslist but not enough to really get started.

There is a swap meet near by where they sell all kinds of stolen things and garage sale type stuff including birds.

But it is really dirty and the birds all look sick and are missing feathers. Its sad but no one can seem to stop them
The birds are stuffed into little cages and I have heard most of the quail they are selling there have already stopped laying.

So really I have no local option.

jm93030 told me about a place in Burbank. I called the guy who i could barely understand and he wasnt sure what birds he had but he said "If i do have some they are $10" and that I would have to come and look.
Burbank is about an hour to 2 hour drive in traffic from where I am.

I APPRECIATE ALL LEADS THOUGH!!!! THANX JM

so yeah...

It seems so far that mail order would be much less headache
