I have an option of driving 3 hours to get a Chocolate Muscovy hen with 2 ducklings that are 3-4 wks old....I will probably end up getting a couple more ducklings.

or I can wait for a lady that is 45 minutes away to email me to let me know her Muscovy is setting....thats not even the brood time of what like 35 days or something?! Dilemma......

Another option is getting a different breed altogether but I need one that is relativley quiet and has a sweet personality. Any suggestions?

Saxonies are very quiet. You really, really have to distress them to get them to quack. They just don't like to get loud. They do shatter up a storm, if you have the food bowl in the hand but shut up as soon as you put it down.
