Hi, I'm new here. I have 3 speckled sussex, 2 hens and a roo. We split up an order of chicks with some friends, and they have found one egg so far, but no eggs here yet. We actually had a bunch of roos that are now in the freezer, but mainly we want eggs. I'm planning to let one of my hens brood next February or March. We have two coops, one we rigged out of an old dog house and pen, and our new one, which is almost done, just need to finish the chicken wire and build the nest boxes.
