I was staring into my incubator today and I kept seeing the eggs moving. After a bit of hard listening, I even heard a few peeps! Its day 20, so they could pip any minute now! Its driving me insane!

I want to see my chicks!

Who else is waiting for pipping!?

Get your camera ready. I had a couple of small pips this morning but those haven't even hatched yet. It was a few of the others that pipped and zipped in a matter of minutes!!! So when you least expect it and you look away, for a second or two....a chick will hatch and you will have missed it.

Oh! A camera, thats an excellent idea! I should film the event.

I keep checking the incubator every 5 or so minutes hoping for some action! I hope they don't mind my flashlight I keep shining in there to see properly.... I'm not sure if I will be able to sleep tonight!

My newly hatched chicks seem to like the light from the flashlight, in fact they seem to move to get into the light. I'll leave a light on in that room tonight so they won't be scared

I'm going to try to go to bed but I'm not sure when that will be. I haven't gotten much done today because of all the time I have spent just staring into the incubator.

My incubator is in my green house and I get up several times a night run out in my robe to check on eggs. The sound of the fan was driving the family crazy at night, I wonder if the squeeking door is worse for them every time I go out to check. After reading of tales about chicks hatching early I have been driving myself crazy. Today is only day 18 and they probably will be late just because I was ready for them to be early.

I'm on day 19, my first hatch failed, this is my second, 7 eggs all looked good at lock down. Can't stop looking in the bator but nothing going on yet, not even a wiggle.

If I had known the incubator was going to be so noisy, I probably would have put it somewhere else too. However I love being close to it to hear them!

Its now day 21 here and I've got two pips. They started three hours ago and they don't have much progress yet... I can't see them yet. They keep peeping!

I'm waiting for pips, too! I've got 18 eggs on lockdown. My incubator is in a large closet by my computer; I love having it there where I can hear the activity while I'm on the computer. I just heard peeping a few minutes ago.
