We spent the day with sleet, rain, which is turning to freezing rain again , then snow... I'm so sick of winter!!!

The chickens had ice on their backs this afternoon. I will never understand why they feel the need to be out when it is so crappy.

It's been raining here all day. Temp was about 45. I hope all the snow is gone by the morning! But then, of course, it supposed to get cold and snow again.

Really I like pretty much all kinds of weather, and don't mind waiting,..we haven't had much winter here really to speak of this year compared to some. But Jack Frost the rooster in this pic and his friends have a different opinion....they are SO SICK of being cooped up inside by the weather! Last snow we had they finally got up enough courage to wade out into the snow...it was funny to see them up to their hocks in it...waving their wings whenever they slipped on ice and lost their balance...they have never tried to go out in it much before now!
