Thanks everybody, has anyone else tried buying chickens during the virus mess? Pretty much every hatchery is backordered for 2 months.

Folks have gone a bit crazy right now. When this is over I am afraid a lot of chickens and ducks will end up being neglected.

It won’t be long you will see people in Walmart parking lot trying to sell or give chickens away like they are now with puppies and kittens

Yeah those folks are thinking self sustainability until this thing is over with, then the reality of having to care for the birds sets in. I'm with you folks, I hope they do the right thing by these animals. I don't want to see any of them neglected. And yeah I will be glad when this is over and we can get back to normal(whatever that was)...

I was kinda surprised because I didn't think nothing about everyone being in a chick buying frenzy. I've been living on my grandparents old farm a few years now and just left trucking and don't plan to go back to driving. So I thought I'd get some walking clucking bug eaters since I'll be able to mess with them now. I'm really excited about the Luikse Vechter's I have ordered more than any of the others because of the lack of information about them.
