Doing research before purchasing an incubator. I read where the Farm Inovators Model 4200 Pro Series Circulated Air Incubator with Egg Turner was a really good incubator except for an issue with the thermometer/hygrometer that is included. It was recommended that a separate digital thermometer/hygrometer be purchased and used to monitor more accurate temp and humidity.

I was wondering if anyone had used the digital thermometer offered by Wal-Mart (which also measures humidity)? Here is the link to this thermometer: http://www.walmart.com/ip/AcuRite-Digital-Humidity-and-Temperature-Monitor/16888914

It looks to be a great bargain (if it works).

i have both the innovator incubator and the wallmart temp/humidity monitor i am finding temp difference but humidity are the same

I have the one your talking about. The humidity is spot on but the temp swings on it. Mine currently reads 2 degrees higher than the actual temp as seen in this pic.

I have now bought over 6 thermometer/hygrometers. I have found one I like and it works great. I have 3 of them and they all read the same. Here is the link... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H1R0K68/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

(Black wired accurate hygromoter is showing 73% which is not correct. It now shows 40% all the time and is usless.

My experience has also been that the humidity function on the Walmart one is great but I have to rely on an old fashioned thermometer for the temperature. The temp on it is helpful but not correct. If mine says 99 degrees, I am actually in trouble and need to cool things down.

With mine it swings the other way runs cooler by 2 degrees.... I also rely on my old timer thermometer.. but humidity is spot on thanks for the link i just purchased it. Can never have enough thermometers lol
