9 DAY OLD CHICK BEEN WALKING ON ELBOWS WITH FEET STRAIGHT UP SINCE HATCHING, IT IS KILLING ME TO WATCH THIS, BUT HE IS EATING AND DRINKING GOOD.
PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS TO HOW I COULD POSSIBLY HELP HIM, HE IS SO OFF BALANCE DUE TO HIS LEGS ARE SO SPREAD APART AND FEET IN THE AIR. DON'T WANT HIM TO SUFFER, BUT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE, HE HAS CALLUSES ON HIS ELBOWS , AND I WOULD LOVE TO HELP HIM GET AROUND EASIER IF POSSIBLE . THANKS ANGIE

Perhaps you could cut a piece of soft foam into a little rectangle, put it under his body and then tape his legs to it on each side at a more natural angle.Make sure he is seperated or put with one buddy, and next to shallow water/food. Try it for a few days, give Vitamins, massage the legs at times and see if it will help. i have also made a donut shaped one out of foam and cut two holes to pop it's legs through and then taped underneath. They threw a fit,( but they could only wobble like a weeble-wobble), until they did better..

I would give the chick Poly-Vi-Sol (children's vitamins) 1 drop three time a day for a week. Also, you can take it's feet to a small piece of cardboard. This will keep the feet down (hopefully) until it's stronger. It's usually a B-vitamin deficiency.
