He didn't start off that way....
Five out of 28 ended up being roosters. I separated 3 two weeks ago and started looking for a home for the little guys. The 3 were rehomed four days ago. Shortly after the separation Wallace started to bite at my hand and kick up his wanna be spurs. Once the other 3 were gone he began to step up his attacks. I can no longer wear shorts and flip flops in the run. He attacks my feet and legs. I know he is just doing his job and he is the one in charge now. Oh I miss the days when I could pick Wallace up and carry him around.

Wallace was mean tempered all along - the other cockerels were subordinating his attitude. With a name like Wallace, you have to expect a little Scottish attitude.

The blood of William W. runs strong in my veins.

Wallace needs to swim with noodles in a pot of soup, then you can write "Wallace WAS a mean rooster.!" Roosters do NOT have to attack their humans in order to protect their hens. They just want to.

He was named after William Wallace, and I'll keep him around. For now...
