wallet stolen..no DL without Bith C, no Birth C without DL

If you are in the same state as the original DL was issued, they should be able to look up your stored information and most of them have your photo......

Why can't they verify that way?

When I got married I needed a copy of my birth cert and I was able to order one online through the state's dept of health website! I was living in PA at the time and I was born in KY!

I called, they need a copy of my DL for the birth certificate by mail...........along with a copy of my SS card.
911 sure made life easier.....

because there Goverment!!! nothing is easy for them!!...went to the ss once...while waiting in line a illigele has 3 ss cards that she wanted to combian on to one card....a quick call was made and some deputys were there with in a few minutes....it probably took INS a while to get there

Someone is giving you bogus info, I suspect. I just got DH a copy of his BC and a new DL in 2006, by phone and email. We are in SC, he was born in NJ. Push them nicely, but push. Check online for actual requirements.

I didn't have to supply any of those either. I just had to fill out the form they sent, and send a check or money order for the copy of my BC.

If you can go to the DMV all they have you do is fill out a lost license card and reissue you a new one along with a $10.00 fee.
I just had to do that when a dumb attack made me forget/lose my drivers license, and yet still I havent found the old one and its been months.
