Walmart feed?

Thanks! I searched but didnt find it.

Corn, soybeans, wheat, sunflower seeds, calcium plua other good stuff. This is way better than what my hens get. It is well rounded and complete nutrition. It relies on corn and soy, which isnt ideal for long term health, but it is a very good feed compared to anything I have seen where I live. I only pay 0.38 per pound of feed, but this feed is much more balanced than what I have.
I wasn't impressed with it. Amino acids looked low, fat & fiber high. That's if they eat the pellet part, otherwise it's just scratch making it worse.

That's stupid expensive per pound compared to buying purina/nutrena/etc in 50# bags, to say nothing of what I can get from the local mill. Amino Acids are roughly on par with most, above some. Fat content is quite high, as is the fiber. At 16% with around 3.5% calcium, its firmly layer feed - not good for roosters, adolescents, or infrequent layers. I saw no phytase int he ingredients, so all the phosphorus from plant sources is basically no good. Only source of non-phytate phosphorus is the monocalcium phosphate, meaning the 0.5% level likely isn't enough to efficiently use the 3.5% +/- calcium. and you will still want to free choice oyster shell.

tl;dr? Not bad. Not good. Limited use. Expensive relative to similar products on the market.

I would not buy it.
