Wanna be Chicken Lady

After years of wanting to have chickens my husband is finally onboard with the idea and I am excited to get my first hens. I am planning to get 3 chicks that my neighbor is currently incubating. I have no idea what breeds to expect but she has been keeping chickens for decades and knows what she is doing. I am obsessively thinking about coops and have been reading a lot of the forums so the time is right to quit lurking and introduce myself!
