if i can. what do you meatbirdbrains have to say about this? i don't think it has gone systemic. she is a duck and still gets around, but ive done all i can. thanks

have you tried digging out the core? I would try to resolve the issue before butchering.

If you do butcher it, cut the legs/feet off first. And make sure all of the internal organs and the meat look normal. No weird smell, no signs of infection, probably OK, and COOK IT WELL. Make sure it gets really hot. Better to overcook a little than undercook.
