LOL - their nice clean paper towels were clean for all of 2 minutes As I said above, this is my first experience with chickens, and NOTHING could have prepared me for the amount of poop they produce!

I kept changing the paper towel like 4 times a day until they were old enough for pine shavings. It's fun to hold them but not fun to get poopy feet on you. Taking pictures of your chicks is almost as addicting as having them! The nice thing about photo editing software is you can edit out the poo, but I don' t have any photo editing software installed. So I just have the reality show type of pictures.

I think one University website said that 6 adult chickens can make over 1 pound of poo per day. Or something crazy like that! I wish I remembered the exact figure.
