Want Fried chicken recipe- like Mom used to make

Mom used to make the best fired chicken and let's just say I did not inherit her cooking skills.
I am looking for an old fashioned recipe to try.
Anyone????

This is how my mom use to do fried chicken and it's the same way that I make it...I'm always asked to bring or make my fried chicken so here goes...Just plain and simple!!!!

I use Crisco and add a half a stick of butter to the fry pan (I know) but like Paula Deen sayss I love butter!..Flour the chicken well, plain old white Pillsbury or any white all purpose....salt and pepper to taste and after frying good and brown I add some real onion in the pan for extra favor and cook slowly for an hour on low heat with a lid and then the last ten minutes I brown it good again......Thats it!....
