I have a question for all of you out there on the "Want it," "Have it," and "Had it" feature available under under "Breeds" when you're checking out a particular breed. I feel my question may be a "Tech Support" type question.... but upon asking them, they directed me to the forum.

But anyways... here's my question:

When viewing breeds you can click “Want it,” “Have it,” or “Had it” under each breed. What is the purpose of this? Is there a page or setting somewhere that I'm not aware of that displays all my selections? Because as of right now, to my knowledge, the only way I can tell if I've clicked any of those options it to actually go to that specific breeds page and see if anything has been selected. Which is pointless. There needs to be a section/option somewhere (preferably under my account profile) that provides me with a list of all my selections. This way I can view all of my selections at once on one list/screen and be able to make edits to my list.

Hi :welcome

You can create a list of all your selected items be it "want" "have" or "had". Lists can be created on your profile page. If you scroll down to the bottom of your page "create list" should be there. If it is not please do not worry as you may just need a few more posts. The more you post the more features become available to you. Please do check out this link on creating lists ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/faq#user_gear1

Once you have your selected item you can click want, have or add then "add to a list" should show up. Clicking on this will show you your exsisting lists and you can add the item. Your list will show at the bottom of your profile page.

Hope this helps but please do post back if you require further help :highfive:

I see the list section under my profile and it's telling me to create a list just as you said. Also just like you said, I can't create a list.... because the option is not available.

I've got to say, this is the dumbest design I've come across in a long time. I don't mean to offend anyone involved in the design and coding of this site..... These features should be available to all and easily navigated. You could reduce the number of threads that are FAQ by doing this.

How many posts do I need before it's available to me?

Sorry to hear about your frustration with this but I'm afraid these measures are in place due to spam. It's frustrating for us all and we would much rather not have to have these measures for our new members. The more you post the more the system will see you as a genuine member and trust you.
There is no set number for how many posts you require but as your post count increases keep checking back for the list feature becoming available.
