want more chicks for colorful eggs, which breed should we get?

We would like to get 8 more chicks from My Pet Chicken Hatchery. I would like 3 more EE's, and would REALLY like some chocolate brown eggs. I wanted Black Copper Marans, but they are out of stock. They have Silver Cuckoo Marans, and Welsummers available, but I read that Hatchery chocolate eggs aren't very dark. Which should I get for more brown eggs? The Marans, or the Welsummers? Help!!!!

Since you're unsure about the darkness of the hatchery stock egg, I think you'd be happy with either breed - I would choose whichever breed looked prettiest with or different from my existing flock.

edited to add: Perhaps someone who has ordered Welsumers or Marans from Meyer will be able to give you more information about egg color from that hatchery.
