want silkie hen near College Station, Tx

The title pretty much says it all. I have limited room in my flock, so I can't take a chance on chicks winding up roosters. I am willing to buy two for company. We're looking for a pet, so show quality is not a concern.

If you come into Houston there is a store that often has silkies. They sell chickens (not just chicks) year round. Last time I was there they had several silkies, frizzlies and cochins. Wabash feed store and antiques (google search for their website) good luck!

Hi I live in Dawson TX 90 or so miles, I have full grown black and white silkies. Am I close enough??? Johnny
